XANT Honored for Revenue and Job Growth Even in Difficult Economy

Dave UV50PROVO, Utah (June 17, 2013) – XANT, the leading provider of cloud-based sales automation technology for inside sales professionals, is one of the fastest growing companies in Utah Valley—recognized by Forbes as the best place for business and careers in the United States. With previous three-year revenue growth of 77 percent, XANT was listed at No. 24 of the top 30 Fastest-Growing Companies in the annual UV50 awards from Utah Valley BusinessQ. “Most of this recognition highlights our growth. Since the crash of 2008, XANT has continued to accelerate growth, especially for the past three years, even prior to acceptance of our recent funding,” said Dave Elkington, CEO and founder of XANT. “In 2012 alone, XANT saw a 100 percent sales growth in revenue. Last year we had 85 employees, but we just topped 250. We are on our way to 400 employees by December.” In addition to recognizing XANT for adding growth and jobs to its home state of Utah, BusinessQ Magazine interviewed Dave Elkington about XANT’s counter-recessionary growth trend: “In the fall of 2008, when the economy started to crash, our line of credit was called in,” Elkington said. “We’d never been late on a payment. One morning we looked at our bank account and all the funds had been taken out. We started giving hugs and saying our goodbyes, but our senior managers rallied… Some of our clients paid months in advance for our product because they believed in it. Then, to our complete surprise, by December of 2008, XANT started taking off in the midst of the worst economy of our lifetimes.” XANT surveyed new customers coming on and asked them why they were growing during such a downturn and found that many of them had cut back their more expensive traditional sales teams and invested in the inside sales remote selling model for both efficiency and effectiveness. “This recognition is a validation of how XANT is contributing to the explosive growth of the inside sales industry,” said Ken Krogue, president and founder of XANT. “Research done by infoUSA and Dr. James Oldroyd right after the 2008 crash showed inside sales as an industry growing 15 times faster than traditional sales. Our recent internal research shows this has leveled off at 3 times faster.” Ken Krogue was also interviewed in the magazine.
